Imaginate Festival - Promoting and developing performing arts for children and young people in Scotland

Imaginate Festival 2015

The Imaginate Festival is Scotland’s international festival of performing arts for children and young people and runs from Monday 11 to Sunday 17 May 2015 at venues across Edinburgh.

Every year the Festival presents the finest selection of shows from Scotland and across the world; each and every one adding their own wonderful character and zest to a programme of exciting and stimulating shows to suit children and adults of every age. This year we are delighted to welcome companies from Denmark, England, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain and Switzerland.

Last year we were delighted to win the CATS Whiskers award for outstanding achievement in 25 years of excellent programming, and we firmly believe that this year’s programme follows in this tradition with a fine selection of shows from home and abroad that will thrill and entertain!

Imaginate Festival Family Fringe

Imaginate Festival Fringe for Families will take place on Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 May in the nooks, crannies and open spaces of the Traverse Café Bar during the Festival.

Free, fun packed and full of variety, this popular two-day event of short performances gives local artists and performers opportunities to create, perform and experiment with new ideas for family audiences.
