Imaginate Festival 2013

The Imaginate Festival is Scotland’s international festival of performing arts for children and young people.

Every year the Festival presents the finest selection of shows from Scotland and across the world; each and every one adding their own wonderful character and zest to a programme of exciting and stimulating shows to suit children and adults of every age.

This year we were delighted to welcome 13 companies from Scotland, Belgium, England, Ireland, the Netherlands and the USA.

This year’s Festival has now drawn to a close with thousands of children and their families, schools, delegates from around the world and media joining us for a programme that has been met with such enthusiasm, amazing feedback and reviews.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable Festival.

The Imaginate Festival is a curated event.  Each year our Festival Director Tony Reekie travels around the world seeking out work to bring to Scotland.  All the work based outside Scotland needs to be seen live, though we welcome emails and dvds which give us an idea about the artist or company’s work.
