Hansel
and Gretel
A
word of warning: don’t go down to the
woods today. Hansel and Gretel have been abandoned
by their cold-hearted stepmother and spineless
father. They’re all alone, and that
forest is so scary and mean and full of ghastly
surprises.
What will you do when you discover the
sweetest of houses hiding the wickedest
of witches? Will you be able to resist the
fabulous feast of giant candy canes, luscious
lollipops and sweet, spicy gingerbread?
Who can say what dreadful things might happen?
Catherine Wheels Theatre Company reinvents
the classic story of Hansel and Gretel as
a spine-chilling promenade adventure. This
unmissable version is based on the National
Theatre of Scotland’s Home: East Lothian
– winner of the 2006 Critics’
Awards for Best Show for Children and Young
People and Best Design.
