"What you can never
argue with at the Children’s Festival
is the wonderful directness of the response,
especially from younger children."

Performance
in which Hopefully Nothing Happens
The
instructions were quite clear to the security
guard – “Make sure that the stage
is empty and that nothing happens”.
Couldn’t be simpler. Lock the door,
put on the alarm, be polite and wish the audience
a pleasant show, and leave. Nice work if you
can get it!
Performance in which Hopefully Nothing
Happens has started. There is nothing to
see and nothing, absolutely nothing whatsoever,
is going to happen throughout the show,
so that will be just fine and let’s
hope that you are enjoying it.
But wait …something IS happening,
an actor is trying to get onto the stage…
and now it’s all going wrong. Lots
of things are happening and the security
guard needs to make it stop – NOW!
A performance full of the joys of absurdity
