Tam
O’Shanter
Scottish
favourites, Wee Stories, make a welcome return
to this year’s Festival. Robert Burns’
poem Tam O’Shanter is Scotland’s
most famous ghost story, told to generations
all over the world. Tam’s midnight adventure
in Alloway Kirk is a haunting tale - as he
sneaks a peek through the church’s window,
wow! what an unco’ sight. He sees witches
and warlocks in a dance, deid people, the
Devil playing the bagpipes… but when
Tam tries to join in … can Meg, his
faithful mare, save the day?
Live music and storytelling combine in
Andy Cannon’s masterly re-telling
of this spooky poem breathing life into
the verse for a gripping performance for
everyone aged 6 years and over.
