Schools Project Manager

Reports to: Creative Development Director
Terms of employment: Fixed-term, 3 years, full-time
Salary: £24,000 p.a. (plus 5% employer contribution to pension)


To project manage Imaginate’s creative learning projects, deliver occasional workshops, deliver Career-Long Professional Learning to teachers and deepen Imaginate’s relationship with teachers.


• Project manage Imaginate’s creative learning projects with schools
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Scotland, especially those who haven’t engaged with Imaginate and the Children’s Festival in the past or face barriers to engagement
• Design and deliver workshops, briefings and training sessions to children, young people and teachers
• Co-ordinate and manage community projects as needed
• Help manage the recruitment of project artists and artists-in-residence
• Be the key point of contact for artists, project partners, schools and groups in the planning and delivery of projects
• Develop key project assets and resources for schools and community groups
• Manage project evaluation working with the Head of Marketing and the Fundraising Manager to collect and record feedback
• Perform any other reasonable activities as required

We advertise placements when we have suitable projects available, which allow students to gain valuable work experience and learn about careers in the children’s theatre and festival sectors.
