Imaginate is looking for a part-time Fundraising Officer to raise income streams from trusts and foundations and collaborate on the development of a Corporate Sponsorship and Individual Donor strategy.

Reports to: Chief Executive 
Terms of employment: 3 days a week, permanent position. Our preference are days between Monday to Thursday, or with hours split across 5 days 
Salary: £25,000 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 5% Employer contribution to pension 

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator both written and verbally, who pays great attention to detail and enjoys working across a team.  The role is made up of application writing and reporting, relationship development, and collaboration on fundraising strategies. It is a great role for someone who wants to increase their experience in a small arts organisation - there is space to develop your skills and see the tangible impact of your work.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a clear understanding of Imaginate’s ethos, objectives and diverse programmes, including the Children’s Festival. 
  • Support the Chief Executive in the development of a fundraising strategy in collaboration with the senior management team. 
  • Set ambitious but realistic smaller Trust & Foundation targets, and implement the strategy to reach them. 
  • Co-ordinate bid-writing across the team to maximise income generation, including writing and/or contributing to bids. 
  • Compile and write the final evaluation report for funders and sponsors, working with project leads to ensure the necessary material is collected through the course of the project. 
  • Ensure funders are included within marketing material, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Communications. 
  • Research new funding opportunities and extend current knowledge of Trusts & Foundations. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Trusts & Foundations, sponsors and donors. 
  • Collaborate with Imaginate team members and the board to build relationships with potential funders. 
  • Represent Imaginate at relevant events with a view to developing new contacts. 
  • Follow the system in place to record all aspects of fundraising work.
