Imaginate is looking for four board members who are passionate about enriching children’s lives through theatre and dance.
Are you interested in contributing to a major arts organisation strategy and make a difference to the lives of children in Scotland? Do you bring an experience or perspective, which you think is under-represented at board level in cultural institutions? Do you feel you would benefit, on a personal and professional level from joining us? If one or some of the questions resonate with you, please consider applying!

Being a board member (or trustee) is a voluntary position. The board is primarily responsible for sound governance, as well as for overseeing the strategic and financial direction of the organisation, making sure we remain legally compliant at all times.
You will spend on average 5h each month working for Imaginate, but this can vary depending on what is needed and your availability. It is very important that Trustees attend quarterly board meetings (4 times a year).
You don’t have to be familiar or an expert in some or all these areas. We are looking to have a board with a range of skills and experiences which complement each other.
