Geraldine Heaney

Geraldine's role with PUSH was to document and make creative responses to all three topics.  She did this by attending all the Labs and festival visits and by creating a series of short films that explored the topics and introduce all to the people involved in/participating in PUSH.  At the end of the project she created a documentary of the two years.

You can watch the films created here.

"I create and partake in collaborative exploration with enthusiasm and hope. I think the arts offer other ways of exploring the world we live in. I believe creatively, sharing ideas and experiences is an important part of enriching my life and the lives of those I share with.

I am a film maker but also work across art forms. I works on a diverse range of projects and have previously designed and facilitated projects for Scottish companies including Firefly Arts, Platform, National Theatre of Scotland and Imaginate.

I have been commissioned to create films for Starcatchers, Platform, Sense Scotland and a range of other arts and community organisations.

Alongside this I am co-founder of Independent record label KOR! Records, who run music projects with young people with additional support needs.

I'm currently studying Level 6 BSL and am very interested in exploring the creative possibilities of access in my work."
