  • Lucy Ireland c. Lewis Normand

Lucy is a performer, choreographer and director based in Glasgow. Hailing from Edinburgh, Lucy trained at the Dance School of Scotland and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the BA Modern Ballet course.

As a performer she has worked with a variety of companies and choreographers: Scottish Opera, David Hughes Dance, Alan Greig Dance Theatre, Errol White Company, Ashley Page, Emily-Jayne Boyle and Kally Lloyd-Jones. In 2017 Lucy choreographed Aladdin at Perth Theatre and in 2018 co-directed and performed in Ferguson and Barton for Shotput, the company she co-founded with Jim Manganello.

Lucy has worked across dance, theatre, opera, visual art and street performance and teaches dance to professional and community participants at a number of recognised institutions across Scotland. Lucy is interested in the connection between theatre and dance and hopes to bridge the gap between the two art forms to make exciting, cross-form works for a range of audiences.
