Myrthe (they/them) is a dance artist, originally from Amsterdam. They have studied at Trinity Laban and the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance. During their studies they have had the opportunity to work with people like Peter Leung, Thomas Small, Benoit Egloff, Gary Lambert and Stephanie Arsoska.

They are passionate about inclusivity and accessibility, having worked in a special school, for different projects like Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland, and as a personal assistant for multiple people with different disabilities and access needs.

Within their artistic practice, they strive to make accessible and playful works, while pushing the boundaries of comfortability.

(Image Description: Myrthe is a feminine presenting white person, with medium long hair and blue eyes. They’re stretching out their arm towards something in front of them, reaching their hand to make contact with someone else’s hand. They’re surrounded by a sea of heads that aren’t in focus and belong to other dancers. In this picture Myrthe is the only one in focus. Myrthe is wearing a blue blouse with short sleeves and a pattern on it. The pattern consists of a variety of blue shades with blurry geometrical patterns, like squares, stripes and different sized white spots. The background is black, but Myrthe and the blurry dancers are well lit, giving the picture a clear contrast.)
