Siân Bevan

  • c. Chris Scott

Siân is a writer, host and organiser of stuff, usually based in Edinburgh. She’s interested in creating projects which improve access to stories, and using stories to improve access to projects. As well as writing for younger audiences, for both stage and TV, she’s worked in and around comedy for over 15 years as a writer, performer and host. The latter has inspired her current work-in-progress project Host, which looks at the role of people who introduce other people, through spoken word and interactive art.

Flash fiction, or tiny stories, are one of her favourite art forms - she was once presented with the See Me prize for tweet length fiction by Liz Lochhead. Throughout lockdown, she’s been sending out very short stories through the Small Rainbows newsletter, with short tales to cheer up people’s inboxes first thing in the morning.

Occasionally she remembers to update her website: www.sianyb.com.
