Booking information

Places at Meet the Artists are free but must be booked in advance through Eventbrite.

The Lyceum Rehearsal Room has lift access from street level to venue level, level access from main entrance to lift and there is an accessible toilet on the same level.  If you have any other access needs including child care costs, talk to us by contacting Fiona Ferguson, Creative Development Director.

Join Imaginate at the Lyceum Theatre Rehearsal Room for an opportunity to meet and discuss touring work for young audiences with programmers, venues, producers and organisations from across Scotland. This is an informal networking event facilitated by Imaginate staff – an opportunity to spread the word about your touring plans, style of work or other ideas you would like to discuss.

How Meet the Artists works is a little bit like speed dating, in 15 minute slots you will have the opportunity to talk to some of the people below in small groups.  Each group will have artists and organisations in it so you can share information about what you do and find out more about what venues and support organisations are looking for/offer to artists.

Venues, organisations and producers attending include:

Eileen O'Reilly, Producer, National Theatre of Scotland
Roxane Girin, Cultural Programme Associate at Aberdeen Performing Arts/The Lemon Tree
Verity Leigh, Programme Manager and Tom Forster, Festival Programme Coordinator, Summerhall
Mhari Robinson, Executive Producer, Independent Arts Projects
Anita Clark, Director, The Work Room
Fiona Sturgeon Shea, Creative Director, Playwrights' Studio, Scotland

Ruth McEwan, Senior Producer and  Jenny Gilvear, Programme and Office Administrator, Traverse Theatre
Anna Derricourt, Producer, Theatre in Schools Scotland
Pamela Walker, Senior Producer and Fiona Ferguson, Creative Development Director, Imaginate (Edinburgh International Children's Festival and the festival Family Day)

"The Meet the Programmers event in 2016 was well organised, inclusive and welcoming. As an artist promoting a new show I was able to initiate conversations with programmers and my show was booked for performances as a result of this. I would certainly recommend this event. Tenterhooks benefitted hugely and I would definitely go again." Diane Thornton, Tenterhooks

There will also be the opportunity to carry on discussions to BrewDog on Lothian Road from 6.30pm, for the Imaginate and Starcatchers Festive Social to which all are welcome.

We would like all of our events and opportunities to be accessible to everyone regardless of any physical, economic or any other barriers.  We have a budget to support this so if you would like to talk with us about how we can help please contact Fiona Ferguson, Creative Development Director.
