Accelerator is a new project offering mentoring, support from a producer and performance opportunities for artists to create new theatre and/or dance works in progress, with the aim of finding funding to bring it to a full production.
Accelerator will support artists to develop an idea for a new production, present it as a work in progress to potential partners (venues, festivals, funders) and find funding to take it to full production. A selection panel made up of Imaginate staff, industry colleagues and freelance artists will select one or two proposals each year.
Stage One
Deadline - Monday 11 June
Selection panel - Friday 15 June
Decision by - Friday 22 June
We are currently looking for applications for Stage One which is all about your idea and ensuring that the panel understands why this would be an excellent piece of work for young audiences. This is an open call out. A small group of artists will be invited to Stage Two to flesh out their idea with the support of a producer, in order to present a fuller proposal to the panel.
