Our Go & See Fund is open all year, covering the costs of show tickets for freelancers based in Scotland working in the young audiences sector. We have a pot of £3,000 each financial year to support as many tickets as possible for as many freelancers as possible. In order to spread this out, each person can apply for up to £100 per financial year to cover show ticket costs (travel and access costs are separate).
What we do fund:
- the cost of tickets for theatre and dance performances in Scotland
- travel costs*
- access costs to be able to attend performances
What we can’t fund:
- international and UK visits and travel outwith Scotland
- applications from artists and freelancers who are not based in Scotland
- applications from artists and freelancers who aren't involved, or wishing to be involved, in theatre and dance for children
- workshops, courses or other professional development activities
How to claim Go & See Fund outwith the Children's Festival:
- Email us at applications@imaginate.org.uk to tell us what shows you would like to see and what the cost would be, you should also tell us about any travel and/or access costs. We will confirm with you what we will cover.
- Book your tickets and send us your receipt(s) and booking confirmation to be reimbursed
- If you are claiming back travel costs, you can invoice us after you see the shows including a photo of your ticket/receipt or forwarding the booking confirmation.
*We will cover travel costs, our only stipulation is that you use public transport (and not cars or taxis) unless this is an access need or you live somewhere that requires you to drive in order to catch a bus or train. We cover travel from across Scotland which has previously included freelancers travelling from Shetland, Argyle and Bute and the Borders.
