Imaginate and Citymoves are working in partnership to offer a week-long residency at Citymoves from 1 - 5 October, with a sharing on 5 October 2018.
The focus of the residency is to provide a development period for artists who are interested in making dance for young audiences. This can also include dance theatre, or movement based work and is suitable for a work in progress stage of development. Artists can apply for one week to work exclusively in the studio or within a community setting. Citymoves will provide an open sharing session at the end of the residency. As the residency will coincide with DanceLive, there will be an opportunity for this to be presented as a warm-up to the festival.
The residency will come with a mutually agreed budget of no more than £3,000.
In addition to the residency and development budget, artists will receive mentoring from Imaginate where useful and Go & See funding to see high quality work for young audiences.
Imaginate at Citymoves is part of a series of residencies and attachments to support the development of new ideas for young audiences. Click here to find out more including information about previous projects/artists supported.
