Imaginate and Platform will present an evening of early-stage scratch performances for young audiences on Tuesday 28 October 2025 at Platform, 1000 Westerhouse Rd, Glasgow G34 9JW.
We are currently looking for applications from artists and freelancers based in Scotland to curate an evening of high-quality, exciting and diverse early-stage dance and theatre pieces for children and young people. Scratches should be approx. 5–10 minutes and there is a fee of 2 days @£200 per person per day.
Imaginate Scratch That! events are an excellent opportunity to try out new ideas and receive feedback from peers and sector colleagues on a new early-stage performance idea with no expectations of a polished performance. Please note that the audience for this event will be artists, freelancers and industry peers and not children.
You can apply as a solo artist, or with up to four collaborators attached to the project. However, if your idea falls outside of these parameters (e.g. number of artists, budget for materials etc.) please get in touch with us by email or 0131 225 8050 for a conversation pre-application. Let us know if you need a BSL interpreter or captions for this meeting, and we can arrange that.
We have a separate budget to support access for the Scratch performance, and we will send our Access Rider form to all selected artists.
Please read the full details in the following guidelines, which are available in three formats (written, audio or BSL video).
