We are looking for new scratch ideas for an evening at the Traverse Theatre to curate a programme of high quality, exciting and diverse ideas within theatre and dance for young audiences.  Our Scratch That! night is an excellent opportunity to try out ideas and receive feedback from peers and sector colleagues.

Scratch That! events are not suitable for finished pieces or workshops, it's about sharing a new idea to try out.  As it is mainly an industry event there are unlikely to be children/young people in attendance so keep that in mind for your applications. There will be limited technical facilities and staff provided, each performance will have a 90 minute rehearsal in the space on the day. You can read Traverse 2 tech spec here.

If you have an idea for a short performance piece for children aged between 0-18 years that you are looking to share and that can be performed in the the Traverse 2 space, then we want to hear from you.

The panel for this opportunity is:

Sunniva Ramsay - Creative Producer, Traverse Theatre
Rona MacDonald - Freelance Artist/Gaelic Artist in Residence, Imaginate
Fi Fraser - Production Manager, Imaginate
Fiona Ferguson - Creative Development Director, Imaginate

This opportunity is in partnership with the Traverse Theatre.

We are actively seeking a diverse range of work for this event.  If you have any access needs or would like to discuss the application before you submit please get in touch with Fiona Ferguson, Creative Development Director.
