We are recruiting a new Schools and Communities Project Manager to establish and grow Imaginate's relationships with schools and communities in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will project manage Imaginate’s programme of schools and communities projects, initiate new project developments and create connections between projects to the Children’s Festival and the year-round Imaginate programme. They will also deliver occasional workshops and Career-Long Professional Learning to teachers.

Terms of employment: Fixed-term, 3 years, full-time

Reporting to: Creative Development Director

Salary: £25,000 p.a. (plus 5% employer contribution to pension)

Location: The post will be based in Imaginate’s office at 30B Grindlay Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9AX, although we are currently working remotely 3 days a week.

Holiday: 25 days per annum, plus 7 public holidays

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project manage a programme of Imaginate’s schools and communities projects including but not limited to, recruiting, contracting and line managing project teams, logistics and scheduling, engaging schools and community groups, budget management and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community groups and artists in Scotland especially those who face barriers to engagement and/or who are underrepresented.
  • Deliver workshops, briefings and training sessions to children, young people and teachers
  • Work with Imaginate’s Designated Child Protection Officer to ensure child protection procedures are adhered to including co-delivering child protection training to all project staff.
  • Be the key point of contact for artists, project partners, schools and community groups in the planning and delivery of projects
  • Ensure project content, blogs, films, photographs, are visible to Imaginate’s audiences, in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Manage project evaluation working with the Head of Marketing and the Fundraising Manager to collect and record feedback.
  • Perform any other reasonable activities as required
