I am excited to make this piece because it is the first time I get to take the lead. I get to explore my ideas, thoughts and love for Neighbours on stage in a similar way the actors in the show do behind the camera

—Neil Price

As part of an EXPO-funded platform of disabled-led performances for young audiences, Neil Price was selected to present a work in progress as part of the 2026 Children’s Festival's delegate programme. Daydream T.V will appear alongside a full commission of Boys Don't Dance by Marc Brew, as well as a work in progress of PALS by Ellen Renton (a Partner Award with Imaginate and Unlimited).

Daydream T.V is a contemporary dance theatre solo exploring Neil’s love of Neighbours. Neil has grown up alongside the show, imagining himself in Neighbours every time he watches it. Through collaboration with 21Common, this work brings to life Neil’s own personal tales alongside Joseph Robinson, a character in the show Neil has created. Neil embodies both figures, who are opposites yet intertwined. By blurring imagination and reality, our perception of the person who stands before us is challenged.

This is Neil’s first solo self-led project, which has been written, choreographed, directed and performed by himself.
