This strand of the Where We Are project was led by Katrine Turner (Lead Artist) and Sanjay Lago (Trainee Artist), who worked together with children from St Albert's RC Primary School in Glasgow in 2021/22. The artists collaborated with the children to ensure the performance they created together was based on their ideas and feelings about where we are right now.
In addition to the work with St Albert's, Katrine led workshops with families at Refuweegee alongside Sanjay and visual artist Ursula Cheng.
Refuweegee is a community-led charity that gives people a way to welcome and embrace those newest to arrive. We strive to ensure that people who have been forced to flee their homes arrive in Scotland to a warm welcome and some of the things that will help people to feel more at home here.
