ISLAND's multi-sensory landscape awaits, inviting you and your baby into a playful place to tumble and fall and experience the joys of being caught and cared for. It is a special space to celebrate the unique relationship between babies and their grown-ups where loving connections can be stretched and strengthened. 

With original live music and dance, this intimate, non-verbal performance is created specially for you and your little one to share and enjoy together. Your baby is free to explore the space with all their senses, while you take a moment to pause and reflect on the joys and challenges of new parenthood. Cosy up together as you drift away with us on a gentle journey of discovery.

For health and safety reasons, we’re unable to accommodate additional children over 12 months of age in the space.

Access Information

Set design: The set includes a mirrored floor, a bed, and a tall island where the musician sits. Audience members will be invited to sit on beanbags surrounding the mirrored floor. Chairs will also be available for anyone who would prefer not to sit on the floor.
Performers: Dancers: Laura Booth and Jorja Follina. Musician: Rachel Newton. All three performers will interact with your child during the show
Lights: The lighting gently changes slowly during the performance. There are also colour-changing light-up spheres used throughout the performance.
Experience: ISLAND is a gentle multi-sensory performance for babies aged birth–12 months and their grown-ups. Babies are welcome to move around the space throughout the performance. At the end of the performance, there will be a verbal invitation to stay and play.
