Hotels have all become very expensive and busy in Edinburgh, so we advise delegates to book their accommodation as early as possible.
We have been able to negotiate a 10% discount with the University of Edinburgh giving delegates access to all the University's properties, including Summer Stays rooms (from 1 June only) and hotels. These can be booked via their website, by email to Reservations@ed.ac.uk or by calling +44 (0)131 651 2007, option 1. Rooms are subject to availability. Use Code - ICF26
In addition, the following hotels are some of the ones we would recommend which are not too far from the city centre:
- Motel One either the Royal or Princes street I have heard are nice, they are both near Royal Mile and Waverly.
- Budget Boutique Hotel in Edinburgh | Point A Hotels
- DoubleTree by Hilton - Find Hotel Rooms
- Edinburgh Royal Mile Hotel | Premier Inn
- hub by Premier Inn | Edinburgh Haymarket Hotel
If you want self-catering, try the following:
- Wilde Aparthotels, Edinburgh, Grassmarket
- Vrbo | Book your holiday lettings: villas, apartments, cottages
The areas that are nice to stay in Edinburgh are West End, New Town, Bruntsfield, Marchmont, Stockbridge but they can be quite expensive as they are very central. Just off Leith Walk, London Road and Abbeyhill are also nice - they are not as close to town but there are loads of buses, and the tram goes down Leith Walk.
