Creative Encounters was an exciting partnership project between Imaginate and North Edinburgh Arts, which took a children’s rights-based approach to theatre and dance performance creation.
In Year 3 of the project (2024/25), we worked with three groups of young people from North Edinburgh. We partnered with Forthview Primary School, North Edinburgh Arts Youth Arts Collective, and Spartan's Community Foundation Wee Connections. Each group commissioned and co-created a new performance or installation which featured at the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival Family Day at the National Museum of Scotland, and in the local North Edinburgh area.
