Skye Lonergan is the Accelerator (new writing) artist for 2019/20. As part of Accelerator, and in partnership with the Traverse, she will share a rehearsed reading of The Turmeric Trail on Saturday 9 November. The Turmeric Trail is a new piece of writing about the power of our thoughts to create our reality through the eyes of an insect-obsessed teenager whose psychotic aunt comes to stay while she is on the brink of exams she can’t afford to fail. The reading will be followed by a short q&a and is part of the Traverse's First Stages Festival, a new festival of script-in-hand readings celebrating new writing in Scotland.
This performance is part of Imaginate’s Accelerator project which is supported by the PLACE programme, funded by the Scottish Government, the City of Edinburgh Council and the Edinburgh Festivals, and supported and administered by Creative Scotland.
