I’m a designer and researcher based in Edinburgh. My background in architectural design and research has lead me to become really interested in the ways festivals and other curatorial spaces, such as museums and galleries, help to create a community and shape learning.

I’m fascinated by collaborative and interdisciplinary models to increase engagement in the arts, particularly for young people and other communities who might not normally have access. I’m getting involved in the Children's Festival this year because I want to gain more practical experience in curating with the goal of improving children’s experience of the arts.

I’ve previously worked for a number of festivals and arts organisations in a variety of roles centred around community engagement and as an architectural designer with a particular focus on accessible design for those with specific needs at Chambers McMillan Architects. I’m hoping that this experience will help me to think carefully about the variety different perspectives that the festival’s audience might have.
